My name is Noah Tucker and I am currently a junior at Missouri State University. This is my first time blogging and I am looking forward to the experience. This blog is in alignment with a communication course I am taking, so my blogs will address different public relations topics. However, I hope to also blog about other subjects that interest me as I get more familiar with it. I hope through this process I will better understand the focus of writing for a blog. Which brings me to the purpose of this post, which is to introduce myself to whoever reads this so that they will know a little bit about me.
So, where do I begin? I grew up in the suburbs of Springfield, Missouri in a town called Ozark. I lived there all the way through school until I graduated from Ozark High School in 2017. Some of my fondest memories of high school are going to the lake with friends, or spending Friday nights around a bonfire. Growing up I also played competitive sports. I participated in both football and baseball. Playing sports year around consumed a lot of my time and is why sports have played a big role in shaping who I am today. After high school I decided to accept a scholarship to go play baseball at Southwest Baptist University located in Bolivar, MO.
During my time at SBU my passion for sports lead me to pursue a degree in Mass Communication/Journalism. It is my aspiration to become a social media/brand manager for a professional sports team. After my time at SBU was finished I transferred into Missouri State with the intentions to finish my degree. At MSU I am currently involved in the MJF media, film, and journalism department, as well as reporting for the campus newspaper, The Standard.
That brings me up to the present! Other interesting things about me are that I enjoy taking naps, drinking coffee, and watching the news. So, yes, I am a middle aged man at heart. I also love all things to do with Oklahoma University football. I am in fact a season ticket holder, and attend all of their home games. My typical hobbies include playing golf, lifting weights, playing video games, and watching Netflix. So that is a little bit about me, and with that I want to thank you for reading my first blog!
